What do you need to travel with medication?

If you want to travel abroad with your medication, you’ll need to request a travel letter, which includes details of current prescription. Please ensure you either request this around 2 weeks before you are due to travel or at the time of your repeat request to ensure that your prescription will match the letter provided. Unless specified at the time of your letter request, we will include details of all items issued on your last prescription.

Depending on the country, laws on whether medical cannabis is allowed will differ. Please contact the embassy of the country you’re travelling to, including any stop-overs, prior to your trip, for further information. Some countries may require additional forms or documents to be sent.

Make sure you travel with all required documents, and have your medication in its original packaging with the label visible in your hand luggage.
