In order to be considered for funding by the NHS for this medication, your GP will need to contact the local Integrated Care Board (replacement of the Clinical commissioning groups) to make an individual funding request application to cover the cost of your medication. Once the application has been submitted, it can take around 30 working days to receive an outcome. Unfortunately there is no guarantee this will be accepted so please ensure your GP has all of the relevant information needed regarding yourself, your condition and your prescribed medication so that an informed decision can be made.
